Alejandra García Pérez is an illustrator and creator of the brand Sad Eyes Club.
The use of repetition and detail is a constant technique in her illustrations. Lines are commonly used to create textures on hair and clothing. Modifications in the subject matter that is being illustrated is her main objective to suit her own style and vision. She is mainly interested in normalizing mental health and human emotions by incorporating her own life experience into her work and opening up a window for her audience to speak up. She is also interested in empowering women through her illustrations.
Alejandra graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the Spring of 2017 and is now working as a freelance illustrator in Monterrey, Mexico.
