Alejandra García Pérez
BFA student from Monterrey, México based on Chicago, Illinois. Her main focus is on Illustration and Graphic Design, usually mixing both to create different designs. Her aim is to produce pieces that are fun and not as serious while still keeping a good design and layout to create balance. The use of repetition and detail is a constant technique in her illustrations, lines are commonly used to create textures on hair or clothing. Modifications in the subject matter that is being illustrated is her main objective to suit her own style and vision. She is currently trying to expand her techniques and abilities by exploring the world of comics and different types of printing such as offset, risograph and letterpress.
Alejandra is currently studying at the the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is expected to graduate in the Spring of 2017.
